Dear Madam, dear Sir,
With the group show Turkish Art New And Superb, TANAS leaves the field of
prejudices and clichés about Turkish art behind. Thirteen artists, most of them
born in the 1970s in Turkey and now living in Istanbul, contribute works dealing
with themes of society, politics, history, and culture.
Two of these contributions are shown at different venues outside TANAS:
An acoustic work by Aslı Çavuşoğlu will be presented at gelbe MUSIK
from 23 May through 28 July. The “ground tattoo” by the artist group
Ha Za Vu Zu is being executed in the former airport area of Tempelhof
on the abandoned landing field (entrance Oderstrasse, coordinates M 23
on sitemap)
